Good morning. The benchmark FBMKLCI was flat yesterday with investors’ main focus being the lower liners. The index fell marginally, closing 0.05 points lower for the day. There is no change in our ST bearish view as the technical readings remained in negative zone. A breach below 1,611 would see the index fall to test the psychological support at 1,600. Resistance: 1,652 & 1,667. Support: 1,611 & 1,600.

Good morning. Despite the overnight jump in oil prices, the FBMKLCI ended Wednesday on a weaker note, easing 2.93 points or 0.18%. Going forward, the local key index would continue to remain under pressure mainly due to the weak Ringgit, low oil prices and thin current account surplus. The potential outflow of foreign funds would also keep any upside in check for the immediate term. Chartwise, we maintain our bearish view on the index as all the technical readings still point to a downward trajectory. A breach below 1,611 would see the index fall to test the psychological support at 1,600. Resistance: 1,652 & 1,667. Support: 1,611 & 1,600.
